| Tips to buy in Japan: |
As the world became connected by Internet, demand for on-line shopping
soared. In this "world wide web" of community, we can buy almost
all the items as we wish. As is the case with other countries, on-line
shopping sites are ever increasing from basic commodity goods to luxury
items also in Japan. Major department stores and GMS now sell their goods
on-line as requisite. On-line shopping became part of daily life in Japan
for many reasons, namely cheap and hustle-free shopping at the distance
of a mouse-click. Moreover, the expanding base for participants in auction
sites helps people recycling goods, which otherwise would remain unused
or forgotten.
What bothers users from outside Japan is that only few on-line shops and auction sites do provide international shipping
services. We help you to make your on-line shopping more enjoyable by overcoming
these shortcomings of on-line shopping. For example, we keep all your shopped
items with us, and send them to you in one dispatch, so that you can reduce
the shipment costs (for more shopping!). We have implemented thorough quality
control of packing your items in order to deliver to you safely. We have
received numerous appreciations from our customers for our quality control.
We also provide “Re-packing” services as your items are delivered to us
in inappropriate or unnecessarily bulky packing.

| STEP-3: Payment to the shop |
Japanese shops are still not used to making business with overseas customers. If you want to buy a specific item, it would be best to contact the shop / seller directly. Some might accept payment in cash, sent by letter. Telling them about our service will make it more likely to get into business, as many will not ship to foreign countries, being worried about possible troubles. It is always easy to have some kind of contact person in Japan, and this is what our service is about.
Most of Japanese shops accept credit cards and bank/post transfer. If the shop dosn't accept credit cards, we recommend to pay by "International check" to the shop. In case you would like to pay by International check, you can ask the shop their address so that you can just send it from your nearlest post office.
Credit card |
While many smaller shops do not accept credit cards, most of the bigger
ones will accept cards from virtually all issuing companies. Provided this
payment method is available, this is the easiest way of buying from Japan.
Major credit cards:
PayPal |
Paypal has not arrived in Japan yet. There are local alternatives, but they require a Japanese bank account, making it hard for foreign customers to use them.
Bank transfer |
Using online banking, transactions can be made within seconds. However,
only transactions from Japanese accounts will be accepted, making this
payment method difficult for many overseas customers.
Postal(Giro) transfer / International Check |
Sending money by postal transfer is relatively cheap; all you need is the
recipient's address. As sending money this way can take some days, you
should ask your seller if this option is available.
Cash on delivery |
Cash on delivery is frequently used in Japan. There are always additional
fees (+300-500yen) if you choose this delivery method.
